Perkins Eastman is seeking technical architect/architectural construction administrator for the Boston office. The technical architect/architectural construction administrator is responsible for leading team efforts within larger projects.

We are an integrated firm which our professional roster consist of architects, interior designers, planners, urban designers, landscape architects, graphic designers, construction specification writers, construction economists, environmental analysts, resiliency experts, traffic and transportation engineers, and several other professional disciplines.

We are seeking an outstanding technical architect/architectural construction administrator, with a minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience. Ideal candidates will be thoroughly versed in all areas of construction including general construction, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and will represent the firm on site to Contractors, Owners and OPM’s.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review Shop Drawings – both product data and technical drawings
  • Attend on site meetings to represent firm during construction process
  • Prepare Field Reports
  • Prepare RFP’s, ASI’s and Change Orders
  • Review RFI’s, Requisitions for payment
  • Attend Building Committee Meetings
  • Interface with building officials and authorities having jurisdiction
  • Coordinate Project Closeout documents

Required Qualifications:

  • Required working knowledge of all AIA forms and contracts.
  • Candidates should have experience performing product date and technical shop drawing reviews and have worked on LEED or MA CHPS certified projects.
  • Knowledge of Newforma
  • Excellent written, graphic and verbal communication skills required
  • Working knowledge of REVIT preferred.
  • Experience with Chapter 149 and 149A and or / mixed use residential large scale projects preferred.
