We are currently seeking a candidate to fill in the position of Intermediate Interior Designer who is passionate about interior design, textures, colors, finishes, fixtures, who is creative, motivated, organized and detail oriented. Needs to personable and well-rounded. We are a boutique firm so this position will require direct involvement with every aspect of our projects, such as working directly with the principals throughout the design process; participate in client presentations; work on workrooms / vendors coordination; prepare interior design construction documents; and construction observation / project administration.

Position responsibilities:

  • Prepare complete designs to meet the clients program and project objectives
  • Deliver presentations based on deliverables and deadlines. Tasks may include, but not be limited to developing designs, elevation renderings, mood board creation, cad drawings, image research, materials and furniture sourcing, tear-sheets, specification pages, material boards, etc
  • Manage the development of design of the project according to the design intent of Design Principals
  • Review vendor / workroom documents to ensure they incorporate the design intent
  • Assist junior designers
  • Consultant coordination and participate in vendor relations meetings
  • Participate in client meetings and lead with confidence
  • Responsible for coordinating, creating and delivering presentations and interior design documentation packages
  • Produce and deliver quality sets of interior design drawings, specifications and budgets
  • Responds to RFI’s and ensures the design intent is met
  • Review submittals, substitutions and field conditions for conformance with design intent
  • Performs and reports on field visits
  • Create punch lists
  • Resolve problems and issues that arise during construction 

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3-4 years of post-graduate design experience with vast experience in high-end interior design
  • Good presentation skills
  • Skilled knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Excellent teamwork skills. Must be able to work collaboratively with design principals and piers
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Great communication skills
  • Proven industry experience with common industry software applications such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Good skills in fostering client relationships.
  • Strong writing skills
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Architecture. Master’s degree is a plus
