We are looking for an early career designer with interior architecture or industrial design experience who wants to work at the intersection of those two design disciplines. This is a chance to join a diverse team that is working together to build a distinctive American design company.

This position will support our design team by producing design documentation for the very high level  projects the design team executes, using Autocad and other tools. There will be opportunity to grow into a more senior design position – either working with clients, or on product development, depending on skill and performance.

Henrybuilt’s design team provides a specialized design expertise for projects across the country, working alongside leading architects, designers, and builders to create exceptional spaces and experiences for our clients and their families.

The design work is broad, from concept and approach for all areas of a new home, to developing material palettes and ensuring all elements are impeccably detailed and integrated into the architectural context - and it all gets built, nothing dies on paper. Our designers work closely with clients, creating results that have a direct effect on the lives of the people we work with. And you will be involved in the business, helping to improve the product, and the way we work.

These are the requirements:

  • High level of proficiency with Autocad. Secondarily – experience with other tools like 3D drawing tools is a plus. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate high levels of organization in their work approach.
  • Strong ability to understand the design direction and intent and quickly translate that into details within a drawing set.
  • Experience with the language of redlines and using redlines to refine a drawing set.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and effectively switch from one to another in an organized way.
  • Experience working with specifications as a basis for design.
  • At least 1-2 years working within an architecture, interior design or industrial design office.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design or industrial design
