GenDesign, the GenCon design team, works both as an independent design group and in collaboration with the construction team in a design/build process on a variety of projects including healthcare, corporate workspace design, residential, and commercial and corporate developments.  The Architect role is responsible for overseeing all phases of the architectural process from initial design to construction administration.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Produce design, working, detail, and presentation drawings in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Produce 3D software renderings to communicate design concepts
  • Interact with clients and project teams to successfully design and execute projects
  • Support the architecture team in design and planning process.
  • Work closely with internal and external project team members to produce design and construction documents
  • Work with the internal construction teams to coordinate design/build process
  • Work with architectural project manager as well as internal design/build team or external contractors to perform construction administration duties

Qualifications & Experience

  • Professional Degree in Architecture preferred with a minimum of 5 years of experience with an architecture or design/build firm
  • Working experience in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience in field survey and observation and construction document preparation
  • Experience with 3D rendering software a plus
  • Prior healthcare experience a plus
