The Opportunity:       

Perkins Eastman is seeking senior architects for the Boston office. The Senior Architect is responsible for leading team efforts within larger projects.

We are an integrated firm which our professional roster consist of architects, interior designers, planners, urban designers, landscape architects, graphic designers, construction specification writers, construction economists, environmental analysts, resiliency experts, traffic and transportation engineers, and several other professional disciplines.

Perkins Eastman is a global design firm with expertise that covers all aspects of the built environment. With studios in 17 locations worldwide, we design for people, to enhance the human experience and leave a lasting and positive impact on people’s lives and the world we inhabit.

We are seeking an outstanding senior architect, with a minimum of 10 years of experience. The Senior Architect will lead and mentor team members in the implementation and delivery of a projects design.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively in a dynamic office setting, contributing to all phases of planning, design, construction administration and staff mentoring.

  • Collaborate in the development of designs using hand sketching, Revit, and other software.

  • Guide team to develop high quality construction bid documents

  • Specification and consultant coordination

  • Review building codes and standards to evaluate design compliance

  • Review construction submittals and a log project data

  • Advance high performance aspects of design and systems coordination

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture
  • 10+ years of experience including academic projects

  • Public K12 projects is a plus

  • Proven experience in architectural document production and team coordination

  • Ability to develop, communicate, and present design concepts orally and graphically

  • Proficiency with Revit, Sketch-Up, and Adobe Creative Suite is required

  • Environmental analysis design software experience is a plus

  • Experience and interest in high performance architectural design

  • LEED Accreditation. WELL and PassivHaus certification is a plus

  • Architectural registration
