MA|Architects, Inc. is a studio-based design firm specializing in healthcare facility planning & design. Our team’s design philosophy is grounded in being our client’s partner to deliver sustainable and innovative solutions to support the creation of healing environments that position care providers the ability to focus on the delivery of patient care. We provide design services from initial programming through construction administration for acute and non-acute care spaces to include equipment replacements, minor renovations, private physician clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, the development of new departments and medical office buildings.

We have an exceptional opportunity for an entry-level Design Intern based in our Los Angeles area office. We are seeking self-motivated individuals who think critically and constructively, to work on technically complex and sensitive projects of various size in a small-office environment.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Develop design drawings from conception through construction documents using Revit and/or CAD
  • Assist Project Architect with programming, space planning, and material selections
  • Participate in client and consultant meetings
  • Address coordination items under the supervision of senior team members
  • Research building code and other project requirements
  • Opportunity to work on several project types simultaneously


  • Possess an accredited degree in Architecture or Interior Design (BS or BArch) within 1yr of hire date.
  • 0-3 years of professional experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent graphic and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to promoting sustainable design
  • Ability to work within a team environment
