Cloudstreet is a design studio that elevates the relationship between people and brands through impactful moments of connection. 

Our work focuses on the intersection of physical and digital design. We work with our clients to develop full experiences to consider the physical design of their space, graphics and communications, as well as the content that will be displayed interactively in that space. Our projects tend to include retail, museum, and outdoor digital networks.

We are a new company located in the Lower East Side, but started by industry veterans who envision a new way of collaborating between environmental and digital designers.  Our multidisciplinary team includes architectural, industrial, digital, graphic and experience designers. 

We have some amazing clients and we need to add some amazing people to our growing team.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have cross-disciplinary skills and be comfortable designing at large and small scale, for physical objects and digital media. They can think and execute, conceptualize and produce. They thrive in a creative driven culture and like coming up with the big ideas and then “getting their hands dirty” executing them. They have experience driving projects to completion from start to finish. 

About The Role

Cloudstreet is looking to hire Job Captains to join our team immediately.  They will provide design support primarily in design development, project administration, and contract documents while working under the general supervision of the Design Director and/or Managing Partners.

This position is ideal for a graduate of an architecture or design school with a minimum of 5 years experience in an architecture design firm with a focus on commercial or retail.

Job responsibilities:

  • Drafts and reviews Permit Submittal set and Construction Documents to ensure compliance with mechanical, building systems, local codes and ADA requirements

  • Coordinates engineering and consultant work to ensure compliance with design intent and schedule

  • Provides well-developed technical solutions for design issues

  • Project lead and expert responsible for providing updates to internal team and clients

  • Manages project and schedule through contract administration phase

  • Interfaces with clients to determine project solution and technical requirements 

Knowledge and Skills required:

  • Architecture and technical detailing skills

  • Knowledge of contract documents, building codes, and ADA requirements

  • AutoCAD 2020 skills, 3D rendering (Rhino preferred), and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience developing project schedules

  • Excellent client liaison skills
