Overview of Position

FGP Atelier is looking for experienced BIM Manager to join our studio in Chicago.

Talented, motivated, ambitious and creative architects with 7+ years of professional architectural experience with BIM are invited to submit their CV and portfolio.

Our broad design interests require broadly skilled team members. Applicants should be experienced in all facets and phases of design and should be comfortable developing both conceptual design proposals and technical details. The successful application will coordinate BIM standards and execution for all projects underway in the office. The primary focus, however, will be coordinating BIM on a very large transportation infrastructure project The Atelier recently began.


- Establish strategies for implementation of BIM program for the entire firm

- Manage entire BIM standards and protocol

- Manage server related technical issues with IT manager

- Monitor platform and protocol procedures within project teams

- Oversees and coordinates the production of the contract documents (drawings and specifications).

- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Responsible for all consultant coordination.

- Supervises all drafters.

- Conforms to project development schedules.

- Reviews all change order requests.

- Reviews all shops drawing submittals.

- Responsible for the quality control and accuracy of the contract documents.

- Assists with the preparation of Additional Services requests.

- Is design sensitive and is able to successfully implement design intent into contract documents.


- Professional degree in architecture from an accredited institution preferred

- Revit: 7+ year preferred


- Extensive experience with BIM / Revit

- Experience with BIM contracts, client standards, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of contractual obligations

- Proven leadership capabilities, communication skills, and coordination capacity

- Production capacity and graphic assembly

- Team management

- Strong design and aesthetic sense with the ability to develop and communicate design concepts.

- A technically proficient problem solver able to develop design concepts into innovative building solutions.

- Proficient Spanish or Chinese speaker a plus.
