Senior Interior Designer/Architect (Interiors Studio-D5)

The Role

The Senior Interior Designer (D5) is responsible for providing leadership to team members and primary day-to-day project administration and communication with client, project team and outside consultants in a manner consistent with firm-wide standards. Must possess the ability to independently manage multiple, complex projects, delegate tasks, and mentor team members with limited supervision.

Project Planning in conjunction with Studio Director and Architectural PM:

--- Be fully familiar with interior budget, scope and contract deliverables
--- Establish and maintain Interiors Project Schedule (including phase        deadlines, filing milestones and meetings)
--- Assist Owner in assembling interior consultant team (FF&E                     Procurement, Lighting Design).
--- Work with Studio Director to define interior team roles and responsibilities.    

--- Work across studio in conjunction with Studio Director to mentor and develop D3 and D4 designers to help increase QAQC compliance and overall drawing and presentation standards, client interface, PM communication and project planning. 

--- Work across studio in conjunction with Creative Director in developing projects from concept level through schematic design.  Interface with Architectural Studio when projects are in Architectural concept, LPC and other pre-interiors phases to help impart an interiors point of view and best prepare projects to come into the interiors studio. 

Interface with client to develop interiors program requirements. 
--- Lead coordination of the Interior consultant team.
--- Review Interior Project Specifications with Architecture PM. 
--- Oversee client approval on all interior finishes and FF&E selections. 
--- Direct the preparation of and conduct client design presentations. 
--- Participate in Peer Performance Review Process.
--- Oversee preparation and accuracy of contract documentation and           specifications ensuring the project remains on schedule and within         budget.
--- Oversee and lead interior contract administration process. 
--- Participate in Peer Performance Review Process.



Education: Architecture or Interior Design school graduate. Other accreditation encouraged.

Experience: 12 or more years of experience with demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex project through all phases. Portfolio must show creative design solutions on projects similar in size and scope to those of the firm.  

Skills: Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, Adobe Suite, 3D Modeling
