ABOUT THE JOB

Project Captain / Intermediate Designer

We look forward to welcoming our newest team member. This person will be involved in all aspects of projects and, based on experience, have excellent opportunities to learn, make meaningful contributions and to lead projects under the leadership of senior staff.   This position manages the focus on quality construction documents and technical solutions to satisfy design and client program requirements. The successful candidate will be thoughtful, hardworking and passionate about design and place making.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and develop projects from Schematic Design through to Construction Documentation and permit under the leadership of senior staff.
  • Research and incorporate required codes and regulations.
  • Communicate and coordinate between in-office staff (taking direction / giving direction), as well as with consultants.
  • Assist in Construction Administration duties.
  • Ensure corrections and clarifications are made for completeness, accuracy, and coordination.

REQUIREMENT FOR APPLICANTS

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Hold Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture and or related field, recently licensed or actively pursuing licensing.
  • Have 5-7 years of experience working in a professional design office. 
  • Have strong communication, organization, graphic and time-management skills.
  • Expertise in Revit and AutoCAD; be comfortable in Sketch Up, as well as multiple Adobe suite programs (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
  • Be accurate, detail oriented and maintain effective quality control.
  • Have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Have strong ability to self-direct.
  • Candidate must not require Work Visa sponsorship.
