Doban Architecture is an award-winning Brooklyn-based architecture firm focused on educational, residential, and civic projects. The Project Designer/Project Architect will play a key leadership role in the design and subsequent phases of important multi-family residential buildings, as well as other project types. Responsibilities will generally include:

  • Lead an internal team of architects and designers to deliver the project in accordance with the client's needs, the project understanding, and your cultivated design aesthetic. 
  • Support and facilitate constructive communication among the project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials. Provide regular updates to firm leadership on project status. Contribute effectively to collaborative spirit within the office. 
  • Provide design and technical input throughout the process. Lead the project team to develop design, create construction documents.
  • Conduct and document site visits in the design process. Follow through on construction phase activities.
  • Manage project progress, both internally, with client, and with consultants and municipal officials.

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor or masters degree in Architecture is required.
  • 4+ years of experience in architectural firm working on multi-family residential, educational, and civic projects is desirable. Experience in high-rise multi-family new construction is required.
  • Licensed architect, LEED certification is desirable
  • Advanced knowledge of REVIT, Autocad, and MS Office required.
  • Construction administration and field observation experience desirable.

Although the job most often requires working at a desk in the office, which is located in Industry City in Brooklyn, the job will require field visits and some travel, typically within the New York City area, including Westchester County.
