The complex is undergoing an ambitious multi-phase repositioning to transform historic industrial buildings into a modern mixed-use office and retail campus. The property also hosts the Brooklyn Nets franchise headquarters and the team’s state of the art practice facility. Position Summary

Industry City is looking to expand its in-house Design Team with an Architectural Designer to support the design and implementation of projects across campus.  The Industry City Design Team is responsible for establishing and executing the aesthetic vision of Industry City for all the architecture, landscape architecture, signage, wayfinding, lighting, environmental graphic, and interior design projects that take place throughout the campus. With over 6 million square feet, this position provides immediate opportunity to realize ambitious design work on largest adaptive reuse project in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

·         Interdisciplinary Design work – Development and representation of design concepts for a range of projects including architecture, interiors, installations, and graphics

·         Drawing Development - Development of pricing and construction drawings for project across campus

·         Project Management - Coordination with vendors, contractors, 3rd party architects, internal marketing, project management, and leasing teams to deliver projects across campus

·         Material and product specification

·         Interior and exterior furniture selection and procurement


·         Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or design related field

·         2+ years professional experience in architecture or interior design

·         Working knowledge of current hospitality and interior design trends

·         Experience and knowledge of basic construction systems and details

·         Experience specifying finishes

·         Fluent in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and 3d modeling software

·         Strong organizational and communication skills.
