FNI - Rhode Island Studio Seeks Mid-Level Architectural Designer

Fielding Nair International ( is an award-winning, global leader in education planning and architectural design. FNI's Rhode Island Studio is currently seeking an exceptional  Designer that is curious by nature and embraces a collaborative working environment.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a Design Portfolio Demonstrating both Creativity and Analytical Skills
  • Resides in, or willing to relocate to,  the Providence/Warren, Rhode Island area
  • Has a Professional Degree in Architecture or Related Design Field (M.Arch Preferred)
  • Has 3 to 8 years of solid working experience. 
  • Is a Licensed Architect (preferred) or On-Path to Licensure
  • Is Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD and BIM Software such as SketchUp and Revit
  • Is a Solid Collaborator and Communicator whether Written, In-Person or via the Web
  • Has a Strong Curiosity for the way that Design can Impact Social Change, Wellness and Sustainability


  • Will work as part of a collaborative team to provide planning, design and coordination of educational projects. Domestic and international travel opportunities are provided.
  • Actively participate in project team and research discussions regarding the evolution of learning and innovative design
  • Make recommendations and consult clients on related project concerns
  • Design and prepare deliverables for projects ranging from "Visioning" to "Design Development"
  • Assist with material and furniture specifications, interior design and coordination of architectural drawings
  • Participate in marketing efforts and client engagement presentations

FNI - Rhode Island Studio Culture:

Our Studio is located 10-miles outside of Providence on the east side of Narragansett Bay. Our Studio is situated in the historic bayside town of Warren, RI and is close to the Harbor.  We have a close-knit "informal" studio culture where collaboration is encouraged, ambition is valued and diverse thought is celebrated. Our  current  studio environment consists of around ten highly talented architects, designers and educational specialists who promote both social and professional exchanges for our team.  

Starting salary will vary dependent upon candidate's experience, skills and creativity. Vacation days, Sick/Personal days and additional perks are provided and will be discussed during the selection process.
