DESCRIPTION:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a variety of design assignments at all sizes and levels of complexity from start to completion. The Senior Interior Designer will lead a team of designers and be a liaison between clients and project teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Leading and managing teams of Intermediate and Junior Designers on multiple projects

-Leadership of project consultants and clients

-Attending meetings and managing client expectations

-Coordinating with outside consultants and vendors

-Participating in programming, visioning and site assessment tasks.

-Millwork detailing, specifications and reviewing shop drawings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Bachelors or Master’s degree in Interior Design. CID, IIDA, ASID, LEED and WELL a plus.

-Minimum of 10 years of professional working experience in corporate interior design

-Highly proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, and 3D Rendering, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Office

-Experience with creating and understanding project documentation, including Design Development and Construction Sets

-Good understanding of interior finishes, materials, furniture, lighting, fixtures, and FF&E schedules and budgets

-Basic Knowledge of current building codes including ADA requirements

-Ability to work well with colleagues, clients, vendors, and construction managers.

-Excellent presentation skills and strong communication skills

-Strong management, organizational and problem solving skills, and ability to handle multiple deadlines.

-Must have experience working in and currently reside in the NY Tri-State Area or be willing to relocate.
