Arrowstreet’s Project Accountants follow projects from initial proposal to final close-out. This team-oriented position works closely with Project Principals and Managers to help manage the financial status of their projects. Project Initiation: Initial project setup, including fee information, billing terms, and project data to be shared with Marketing and others. Review project plan and budget with project managers.

Invoicing & Accounts Receivable: Prepare invoices according to contract terms, including supporting documents required by clients. Review Accounts Receivable regularly with Project Managers and communicate with Client’s accounting team to ensure timely payment.

Consultant Processing: Review sub-consultant invoices against contract terms, submits for Project Manager Approval, and process for billing and payment.

Project Performance: Initiate regular meetings with Project Managers and Principals to review project performance, project plans, and contract modifications. Develop analyses of project billing, labor reports, and other project-related financial reports on a regular or ad hoc basis. Analyze project percentage completion and work-in-process on a monthly basis for the financial statement.

Organization/Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project information, including active project lists, contract information, consultant information, insurance certificates, and other data within Deltek.

Accounting Ambassador: Participate and organize Project Manager roundtables for discussion of best practices and review of firm-wide project management issues. Act as a resource to staff on Deltek and other project management procedures. Research and identify new ways of presenting information, such as with Power BI, Tableau, other data analysis tools.

Education/Experience: 5-7+ years prior experience working in the architecture/design field. Knowledge of project-based accounting systems (preferably Deltek), and Microsoft Office Suite, with Excel wizardry strongly preferred. Business degree or solid understanding of accounting principles is required.
