Our Seattle office is looking for a self-motivated, eager Intern Architect who is passionate about learning to create environments that promote health, healing and wellbeing.

As a Healthcare Intern Architect on the Ankrom Moisan team, your role will require:

  • Creative design and problem-solving skills
  • Contribution to team and firm efforts by working successfully both independently and in a highly collaborative team
  • Participation in projects from feasibility study through construction administration
  • Assisting in production of complete documentation sets (SD, DD, CD, Permit, Bid), including bidding documents, general conditions, and supplemental conditions that are part of the contract documents
  • Interaction with consultants, equipment vendors, and public agencies      
  • Assisting in code research including FGI, building code, and accessibility code
  • Assisting in coordinating consultant drawings and technical information
  • Graphics support for active projects and marketing efforts
  • Participating at in-house, project team, and client meetings
  • Articulation of design and construction concepts in support of project goals
  • Building trust and rapport with clients and project teams
  • A passion for learning!

  • What we are looking for:

    • 2-5 years of experience in Architecture
    • Bachelor of Architecture degree required; Master of Architecture preferred
    • Strong desire to work in healthcare. Healthcare experience preferred, but not required
    • Proficiency in Revit
    • Working knowledge of Bluebeam Studio, MS Office, InDesign, and Photoshop
    • Basic understanding of relevant codes including FGI, SBC, IBC, and accessibility requirements  
    • Flexibility with quickly evolving projects and deadlines
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proactive approach to timely problem solving
    • Strong organizational skills to effectively and successfully complete multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
    • Positive attitude, desire and ability to learn and grow, self-motivation, and ability to contribute in a group environment
