A Junior Designer role at our office requires experience, knowledge and imaginative capacity in both creating and managing very specialized work. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and ability to execute all responsibilities accurately and efficiently.


  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a high end custom residential interior design firm
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with mill work, casework, space planning and custom furniture design
  • Working understanding of construction documents and mill work drawings
  • Expert drafting skills with AutoCAD
  • Field experience installing residential projects
  • Ability to generate full color 2-D 3-D digital renderings
  • Familiarity with building codes & ADA requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite programs, Sketch Up
  • Knowledge of and/or ability to learn billing software
  • Exceptional organization skill, high level of attention to detail and follow-up
  • Ability to adapt to change and shifting priorities
  • Experience with purchasing and budget management
  • Knowledge of trade resources and vendors


  • Manage purchasing 
  • Generate professional and detailed drawings, floor plans, elevations and RCP’s in AutoCAD and/or sketch form as necessary for project needs
  • Design custom furniture and lighting
  • Review drafting work to ensure quality of drawings and compliance with applicable codes and regulations
  • Redline and review architect’s drawings submitted for project review
  • Assist principal, senior designers and project manager in design development
  • Meet with internal design and with clients to refine plans and drawings to reflect changes and refinements of design intent
  • Oversee sub-contractors and manage on-site installations
  • Organize and manage deadlines and timelines for projects as they relate to drawings and overall project management
  • Keep current, accurate and organized drawings and documents on server and in project profile binders
  • Source materials and FF&E as directed by the design team
  • Prepare materials for client presentations
