Your Opportunity

We are looking for an Architectural Designer who shares our passion for sustainability and wellness. We work on a variety of projects with an emphasis on transit and infrastructure architecture. Our objective is to improve the urban experience through great buildings and places, public transit options, and resilient infrastructure. At the same time, the work we do is personal. From office workstations to transit stations, we seek to improve quality of life, health, safety, and equity among Angelenos. Stantec has been laying the groundwork for enhanced mobility in LA through planning, designing, and delivering transit centers, O&M facilities, light rail systems, express busways, bike and pedestrian pathways, and highways.

Your Key Responsibilities and Opportunities

  • Serve as a team member on various project phases including conceptual design, programming, space planning, SD, DD, and CDs.
  • Use Revit/CAD/BIM software for producing drawings and details.
  • Address coordination items under the supervision of senior staff. 
  • Assist in developing project specifications.
  • Understand QA/QC processes and how to make needed corrections and/or revisions under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Keep up-to-date with technological developments such as new codes, new design concepts, computer applications, drafting methods, etc.
  • Serve as point of contact team members.
  • Opportunities to coordinate and maintain a professional relationship with clients, contractors, inspectors, agencies, and consultants.
  • Learning opportunities to develop and manage schedule, budget and scope of services on projects.
  • Participate in client and consultant meetings.
  • Contact product vendors and manufacturers.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • On path to obtaining Architecture License
  • Proficient in Revit and Adobe products.
  • Demonstrated BIM literacy.
  • Substantial knowledge of procedures for production of construction documents.
  • Knowledge of codes/regulations and technical issues
  • Good knowledge of sustainable design practices and strong design sense.
  • Prefer LEED AP certification
  • Prefer Graphic Design training and experience

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree related to Architecture from an accredited university.  3+ years of experience in a professional atmosphere.
