Trapolin-Peer Architects, APC (TPA) is a New Orleans based full-service architecture firm located in the Warehouse District. We are seeking a Project Architect / Project Manager with 12 -18 years of professional experience to join our team. We are looking for a licensed architect who is design-oriented and has proven experience working in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 12 – 18 years of professional experience

  • Licensed Architect

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Architecture

  • REVIT experience preferred but not required

  • Experience in drafting proposals, preparing contracts, preparing project schedules

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of architectural and zoning codes including IBC, NFPA, and ADAAG.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Fluent in English, spoken and written (2nd language is an asset)

  • Excellent design skills

  • Motivated self-starter, with the ability to take initiative in response to direction or instruction

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with careful attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors in a team environment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Effectively communicate with clients, consultants, and contractors.

  • Promote firm’s reputation through exceptional client relationship management.

  • Coordinate one or more projects with clients in conjunction with firm Principals

  • Draft proposal letters and project scope description for Principals’ review.

  • Assist in the preparation and review of Contracts, including Owner/Architect and consultant contracts.

  • Maintains project files and records consisting of both electronic and paper filing procedures set forth by the firm

  • Provides technical guidance to project team members

  • Facilitate financial management of project, monitoring of the budget, and progress of project

  • Conduct thorough evaluation of all applicable zoning regulations and codes per project

  • Work effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors in a team

  • Respond to emails from clients, consultants, etc. within 24 hours of receipt

  • Complete assignments efficiently and effectively

Registration / Accreditation:

  • LEED/AP recommended but not required

  • NCARB certification preferred

  • Architectural licensure required
