CallisonRTKL Architects P.C. seeks a creative and passionate design professional who initiates design concepts, who ideates new retail strategies and who contributes guidance to junior designers to join our team located in New York City.
Responsibilities
Create and develop overall design concepts
Strong ideation skills and successful in leading charrettes
Formulate design presentation strategies and execute client presentations
Lead and direct the work of other designers and technical staff
Can adapt to the CallisonRTKL design process
Collaborate with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectations
Provide guidance and training to junior staff
Participate in business development activities to pitch to new potential clients
Thought leader in the industry
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related design field
Minimum 10 years of concept design experience preferred
Professional registration preferred
Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects
Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all clients and employees
Experience in specialty retail categories such as cosmetics, pop-up design, and experiential design preferred.
Advanced graphic and verbal presentation skills, including hand sketching
Experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite
Experience with Revit preferred
