Guerin Glass Architects is currently seeking a Junior Architect in our Honolulu office.

Candidates for this position must have a professional degree in Architecture and a minimum of 2 years of office experience. They should have comprehensive design and documentation skills and be able to demonstrate a background in a range of project types.

This position will be focused on the technical and software aspects of production at first, with the goal of growing and developing the complementary skills as work progresses.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Setting up and developing projects in Revit as well as interfacing with other design applications
  • Coordinating with firm BIM manager and maintaining office standards
  • Assisting throughout the project lifecycle, from design concepts and development to production of construction documents and review of shop drawings
  • Researching building materials, construction techniques, and building codes
  • Assembling presentation documentation, including physical models and 3D renderings as needed

Software Requirements

  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Must have experience with workflows, interfacing models in different rendering software
  • Experience in Rhino, V Ray, and/or Sketchup are a plus
  • Interest in parametric modeling, customization, and programming is a plus
