JLRA Interiors is boutique interior design firm providing services for clients in New York, New Jersey, and across the country. The firm specializes in high-end residential design, closely collaborating with our in-house architecture firm, J.L. Ramirez Architects. With seven architects, and four interior designers we’re able to efficiently oversee all phases of design from initial concept, through construction drawings, and project installation.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The applicant will be responsible for overseeing design and project management. This position requires attention to detail, organization, and follow through. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, is able to take direction, and manage multiple projects at once.  Candidate should be comfortable with all phases of a project from schematic design to construction administration. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Overseeing all phases of multiple design projects from design development, through construction management.
  • Managing client communication & relationships. 
  • Preparing client presentations & proposals. 
  • Processing and tracking custom furniture orders.
  • Coordinating & attending client meetings. 
  • Produce floor plans, elevations, and details using AutoCAD. 
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors & subcontractors. 
  • Produce and review custom millwork and furniture drawings
  • Researching & sourcing items such as furniture, fabrics, accessories, 
  • finishes, lighting, etc. 
  • Communicating with vendors and attend design related events.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • 3 to 5 years previous interior design experience
  • Knowledge of IVYMark a plus
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, including architectural detailing, and custom furniture design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of custom furniture design is a plus
