My client is leading healthcare architecture and design firm and they are looking for an experienced senior architectural designer candidate who is skilled in all aspects of the design process, healthcare experience not required but a huge plus. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate to take the next step in their career and move towards a senior leadership position. The ideal candidate is comfortable and confident working with clients, outside agencies and the internal team throughout all phases of design. Who can collaborate with, manage and mentor a small team with varying levels of experience and strengths. Who loves design and the design process and whose passion for design inspires those they work with.

As a senior team member ideal candidate:

Must be familiar with entire interior design process and be capable of managing project team members, and vendors through the process. Will be required to work on multiple projects, while simultaneously monitoring and mentoring projects of junior staff. Must possess uniformly high production standards and will be required to monitor junior staff to ensure quality and production standards are being met. 

As the Senior Design Leader ideal candidates must be capable of:

Meeting with clients to evaluate and understand their project. Contribute to and collaborate with entire team on the design concept throughout the process including participating in the production of construction documentation. Coordinate directly with clients throughout the entire design process. Contribute with the entire team to produce schematic design documents and present to clients Coordinate with outside agencies associated with projects. This includes (but is not limited to): vendors and consultants Maintain organized and detailed documentation throughout the process. Driven by a desire to collaboratively elevate design, with a good balance of EQ and IQ.

Ideal candidates must be:

Licensed 12+ years’ experience. Core and shell experience required with sensitivity to the interior design process. Have large-scale project experience (Healthcare preferred) Detail-oriented while remaining tuned into the big picture. Outgoing, charismatic and inspiring to others. team-oriented leadership. Bachelor’s degree, B.Arch. or M. Arch
