Our team includes seasoned leaders from architecture, manufacturing, and product development allied with a tight knit group of project managers, parametric design experts, and robotic engineers.

The core mission of the Estimating and Technical Design Associate is to accurately takeoff and price potential projects and to provide feasibility and constructibility reviews of those projects. This position will review drawings, models and specifications provided by clients or produced internally and will prepare detailed time and material Bill of Materials. The deliverable is visual and written recommendations for detail solutions or 'printable' alternatives to the proposed project. The ideal candidate is passionate about problem solving, a curious and self-motivated learner, results-oriented, a systems thinker, clear and prompt with all forms of communication, and comfortable in a fast-paced and multi-discipline team environment.


  1. Lead labor and material takeoff effort for all new project candidates; coordinate review of takeoff with sales team, project managers, and other internal stakeholders
  2. Draft job estimates based on takeoff and in consideration of feedback from internal stakeholders
  3. Develop appropriate systems and tools for accurate and efficient pricing of potential projects, including comparison to expected job profitability
  4. Develop and maintain database for cost and pricing relating to products and services offered
  5. Create and regularly update database relating to domestic and international competitor pricing of similar products and services
  6. Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain detail library relating to products and services


  1. Degree in architectural design, engineering, or industrial design
  2. Professional experience with cost estimating in building construction and/or building products and manufacturing
  3. Knowledge of architectural specifications and details for high performance building enclosures
  4. Demonstrable proficiency with standard office environment programs (e.g. Google Apps, Microsoft Office) and common project management software (e.g. Smartsheet)
  5. Demonstrable proficiency with CAD and modeling software (e.g. Rhino, SketchUp, AutoCAD)
