Leading global architecture, planning and design firm seeks a Project Architect to join its New York City location. 

The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience. The position is focused on managing small-to-medium scale workplace/corporate interiors projects

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages all phases of design and construction
  • Plans, coordinates and manages the project process for full line workplace projects
  • Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects
  • Represents the project or practice as the primary contact for client interaction, report to the VP in charge on project progress and issues
  • Serves as the main contributor during client meetings and presentations
  • Negotiates critical and controversial issues with appropriate parties and oversees financial management of all assigned projects
  • Collaborates with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectations
  • Oversees work drawings, specifications and cost estimates for projects
  • Coordinates/and leads the team of architecture and interior design staff that complete design, production work, and construction documents

Education and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related design field
  • Minimum of 7 years of architecture experience
  • Professional registration and LEED accreditation preferred
  • Experience with workplace/corporate interiors projects
  • Solid working knowledge of building codes
  • Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all clients and employees as well as strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience with contract negotiations, project financial planning and scheduling
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD preferred
  • Experience with Sketch-up, Creative Suite and MS Office preferred.
