The practice encompasses corporate, civic, cultural, educational, transportation, residential, hospitality, office, retail, and mixed-use projects on a variety of scales.

The Interiors Studio Manager is responsible for all aspects of studio performance, operations, staffing and project management. The Interiors Studio Manager will oversee and participate in the overall management of the studio which includes collaborations with our architecture studios, recruitment of interiors staff, and overseeing financial performance of projects.

Essential Job Functions: 


  • Support the vision and leadership of the Partners.
  • Collaborate with our Interior Design Director and Studio Technical Leader on all  activities of the Interiors Practice.
  • Lead teams on specific interiors projects and mentor other designers.
  • Maintain profitability while achieving design quality.
  • Work with the firm’s other Studio Managers to maintain complex, appropriate staffing on projects as well as overall design and technical quality for interiors projects.
  • Participate in professional and trade organization activities/networking events & conferences.
  • Develop relationships with potential clients, furniture manufacturers/dealers and industry consultants.
  • Participate and become involved with select industry organizations.

Position Requirements:

  • Management leadership
  • 15 or more years of professional experience in the field of interior design, interior architecture or architecture with direct experience in the development of interiors
  • Strong network of industry contacts
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, illustrate and present ideas effectively, and to lead clients through challenging problem-solving exercises. Multiple successful examples of programming client needs; preparing and presenting design solutions, managing budgets and schedules
  • Participate in financial/staffing meetings with Partners/Senior Staff.
  • Strategize with Studio leadership on Business Development Approach
  • Architectural Licensing or NCIDQ Certification required
  • LEED Accreditation preferred
