Description:                      

Working at an Architecture and Design firm in either our Stamford or San Francisco office, the intern reports directly to the Project Accounting Manager. The Project Accounting intern is responsible for providing the Project Accounting team with quality financial support. The successful candidate will want to gain business experience in a fast-paced environment. They are expected to develop a strong relationship with Project Managers, and other Accounting team members. The ideal candidate will be capable of learning our system with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Assist in project setup and updates in Deltek Vision, maintaining Vision staffing plans
  • Process labor adjustments
  •  Assist with reporting & analysis as needed
  •  Assist in obtaining and processing insurance documentation
  • Assist with Consultant and expense reconciliations
  • Ad-hoc tasks for the Project Accountants

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled Undergraduate student or recent college graduate with course work or aptitude to work in accounting/finance department. Or Business Degree or minimum of 3 years undergrad course work required.
  • Prior internship or corporate experience preferable.
  • Familiarity with excel (V-lookups, pivot tables)
  • Professional, polished and have an interest in the business side of a large and growing architecture/design firm.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and research skills, displaying professionalism with all levels of staff, works well without supervision with good common sense and listening skills.
