Description:

The Social Media Coordinator is a knowledgeable and energetic internal advocate for social engagement, working as part of the Brand + Communications team. Reporting to the Communications Manager, this individual will be responsible for assisting in the development and execution of Perkins Eastman’s content calendar and overall social media strategy. This includes managing the day-to-day operation of the firm’s social media outlets and ensuring alignment with overall digital strategy of the organization. The individual conceives, researches, creates, posts, and promotes compelling content on the firm’s various social channels in collaboration with internal subject matter experts. The position serves as an internal resource for the implementation of social tactics to promote the firm’s work and enhance the reputation of the organization. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the social media strategy, working to ensure that the firm’s social media efforts are in alignment with the organization's overall digital communications efforts.

  • Work with internal staff to conceive, compose, and post social media content that supports the organization's communications and digital strategy efforts.

  • Maintain, manage, and execute a calendar of social media communication content, collaborating across teams to coordinator social campaign efforts and integrate firm/industry news.

  • Engage with external organizations and audience members through appropriate interactions.

  • Monitor comments on all social media channels and responds appropriately.

  • Provide quality assurance for social media content, including proofreading and link accuracy.

  • Conceive, plan, administer, and report out on measurement tools examining the impact of the firm’s social media efforts.

  • Maintain digital accounts according to best practices. This includes creating or updating account profile information and artwork, managing follower lists, etc.

  • Keep abreast of the latest trends in social and digital communications and helps develop new social media strategies and tactics.

  • Measure the success of social media campaigns through analytics and metrics reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or related field.

  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of progressive, hands-on social media experience, including content creation and channel management.

  • Demonstrated tactical expertise in the use of social media to support of an organization's strategic digital communication efforts.

  • Track record of managing the creation and distribution of impactful content across various platforms.

  • Strong ability to identify, conceive, or adapt engaging content on a variety of topics.

  • Extensive experience with industry-standard social media management tools.

  • Expertise in integrating social content plan into organization's overall digital and public communication approach, including strategic alignment, tactical consistency, and calendar coordination.

  • Ability to plan and execute social media efforts in support of events and campaigns.

  • Skill with image editing tools and knowledge of basic design concepts.

  • Familiarity with social media tools such as Meltwater, Crimson Hexagon, Cision, Sprout Social, and Track Maven.
