Atlas Capital Group is a real estate development firm with a focus on commercial adaptive reuse projects in and around downtown LA. Formed in 2006, Atlas prides itself on developing projects that respect the site and capture the authentic experience of the place.

We are looking for a Design Associate with an interior design or architecture degree who is highly creative with an impeccable design sense, outgoing, detail oriented, organized and will work well with our team.  The work will predominantly be focused on our highly published project, ROW DTLA (, and the Design Associate will be responsible for supporting the Design Director in directing and executing ongoing FF&E programming, interior design planning, environmental graphics and wayfinding signage based projects.  

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of scopes of work, requests for proposals, and project schedules.
  • Assist the Design Director with the creative direction related to the planning and design of FF&E programming, art programming, environmental graphics and wayfinding signage programming
  • Identify Signage, Art and FF&E needs throughout all properties and assist in envisioning and initiating design projects
  • Develop vendor list for artists, graphic designers and interior designers  
  • Review design presentations and provide Client feedback
  • Coordinate and manage the execution of projects during construction and installation phases

Required Qualifications:

  • A 4-year degree in interior design or interior architecture.
  • Six (6+) years' post-graduate related experience with an commercial interior or hospitality focus. 
  • In depth understanding of flow, layout and space planning, furniture and interior design specifications and procurement processes. 
  • Experience related to presentations, design proposals, renovations and/or construction projects. 
  • Ability to coordinate multiple long-term projects in parallel and in conjunction with short-term assignments. 
  • Excellent eye for color, design and composition with ability to multitask between projects
  • Knowledge of and interest in local art market a strong plus

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in CAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Software & Microsoft Office. 
  • Excellent organization, problem solving, and negotiating skills.
