DESCRIPTION: Laney LA is an emerging architecture studio, specializing in high end custom single family residential projects. Positioned for further growth, Laney LA is seeking a Designer to join our expanding team.  

The candidate’s main responsibility will be to produce architectural deliverables, support project managers, and manage specific projects. This position requires a thorough understanding and appreciation for the design and life of a project, as well as an ability and inclination to serve project managers, consultants, and  clients with high quality, and efficient deliverables.

This position is not for those interested in working in an isolated environment with a limited set of specialized skills. This position is for those who already have great talent and want to elevate their skills by collaborating with an amazing team and contributing to the growth of the office.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: As Designer,  an individual shall:           

  • Produce specific design deliverables. 
  • Support project managers  on multiple projects through all phases of design.
  • Assist with the production of technical drawings and detailing.
  • Coordinate with vendors and consultants.
  • Contribute to client delight through an efficient and highly visual process.
  • Report directly to a Project Manager
  • Design tasteful and relevant options in multiple iterations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: These are the minimum qualifications for the role:     

  • Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture & Design or Landscape Architecture.
  • Strong sense of urgency for meeting weekly deadlines.
  • Experience with ArchiCAD or Revit.
  • Fluent in CAD, 3D modeling, and Adobe Suite.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and self- motivation
  • Strong graphic communication skills
  • Punctual & organized
