The employer is an experienced multi-generational real estate company and developer in association with an award-winning architectural practice experienced in quality design, well-organized construction management and an attention to detail. Projects may include high-end residential, multi-family, creative office and tenant-improvements, continuing improvements to a Hollywood film studio, and additions and remodeling to a boutique hotel in West Hollywood.The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, personable, and can communicate clearly.

Construction Superintendent to work full time with a design, construction and development team on a variety of commercial and residential projects in the Los Angeles area. Direct report will be to the architect/construction manager.

•Ability to think like an architect with experience in construction and the daily operations of a construction project.
•Ability to read architectural plans and communicate questions to architects.
•Ability to  manage the on-site work for consistency with the construction documents and directives from the architect.
•Ability and experience to coordinate and communicate with multiple trades on site concurrently.
•Ability to communicate daily to construction managers and architect via RFI’s and daily reports.
•Ability to be a diligent problem solver
•Ability to be proactive rather than reactive during the construction process.
•Ability to assist in the set up and use of online construction management software and keep information updated regularly.
•Ability to be organized, forward thinking and detail oriented.
•Ability to manage a plan and manage a detailed construction schedule
•Ability to coordinate inspections and experience working with inspectors.
•Experience with typical construction administration and site coordination issues such as:
    -large and small equipment rental (cranes, bobcats, core drilling, etc.)
    -purchasing of miscellaneous site tools and materials
    -clean up and trash hauling (drop off/pickup of dumpsters)
    -traffic control (if needed for cranes, etc.)
    -means and methods assessment with subs
    -schedule management
•Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Additional Qualifications:
Preference for someone with actual construction experience who is willing to get their hands dirty and assist with miscellaneous trade work when small items come up needing immediate attention.
