Senior Project Coordinator, Residential

A Senior Project Coordinator, Residential  in our Los Angeles (Culver City), CA studio is the team leader in charge of overseeing timely and profitable completion of a project. The senior project coordinator coordinates the work team, consults with clients and is responsible for the overall development and implementation of a specific architectural project.  They monitor project progress throughout the project to ensure all the deliverables and timelines are being met within budget.  Participates in design studies and evaluation of design proposals in collaboration with the Senior Designer or Senior Design Manager.

8-12 years minimum experience

Responsibilities

  1. The senior project coordinator oversee designs to meet client specifications, create and propose budget and time estimations, and act as an intermediary between client and the project team.  He/she must also write reports and/or update the project schedule so as to keep the client informed about the status of the project
  2. Proficient and have a solid understanding of building construction and the different components
  3. Able to collaborate and resolve multi-disciplinary consultant issues without compromising the design
  4. Develop the working drawings in conjunction with the specific standards inherent to the studio
  5. Keeps track of the drawings ensuring that the output is within the design intent
  6. Able to produce a fully coordinated set
  7. Able to delegate and oversee the work of team members, providing support and guidance as needed
  8. Must assess available resources, develop and follow schedule and budget, and stay in close contact with all team members of the project team to provide clear direction
  9. Demonstrate project leadership by mentoring project coordinators and/or job captains throughout the process
  10. Able to monitor project progress according to contract scope and deliverables
  11. Work with Senior Designer or Senior Design Manager to resolve design issues with creative and practical solutions

Skills  /  Requirements

  1. 8-12 years minimum experience
  2. Proficient in Revit and ACAD
  3. Experience in construction administration
  4. Experience working with different jurisdictional agencies
  5. Experience in implementing zoning, planning, and building codes and standards               
  6. Strong graphic, organization, and communication skills
  7. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within the project team within the studio
  8. Able to handle multiple priorities and multiple projects simultaneously
  9. Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
  10. Ability to work cooperatively with others
