Studio Gang is hiring a model shop manager for our New York office. This person understands modeling as an architectural tool for design and will oversee the planning and execution of project models. The Shop Manager will assist senior leadership in directing and managing the project models with the team, mentoring staff, representing Studio Gang to the client, and participating in presentations and meetings. The Shop Manager will have exceptional design talent, an understanding of materials and hand and digital tools, and the technical skills that are required to oversee the planning and execution of project models. Maintaining and operating the shop facility, tools, and supplies, this role will be responsible for leadership and coordination of project models with team members and consultants throughout all phases of design, from concept through construction administration, as well as model transportation and installations.

Extensive experience in architectural modeling
Prior project management and planning experience
Excellent communication and leadership skills Rhino and AutoCAD skills

A five-year bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Architecture is preferred.

Salary commensurate with experience.
