Title: Project Architect


Education: B.Arch, Preferred M.Arch or foreign equivalent

Years of Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience

Type of experience: Commercial office/retail, mixed use, multifamily

Technical Requirements:  Proficient in AutoCAD, and Revit, Photoshop, InDesign, excel and word; and advanced knowledge of building codes and zoning analysis.

Licensing: Preferred Registered Architect, Preferred LEED accredited


Company Information:  The Eisen Group (TEG) is a multi-faceted architecture, interiors, planning and economics firm that is seeking passionate individuals that are looking for an urban location and a very friendly work environment.  TEG is a 14 person firm (growing) that has a number of interior and base building projects under construction and numerous new projects in the office.  We are looking for people that are interested in leading building documentation from schematic design through construction administration including the code and zoning analysis required to effectively complete a building design process.  Versatility and motivation are important attributes, as any member of the studio frequently works on multiple projects in various phases, while producing high-quality work consistently.


Job Description: A Project Architect has a minimum of five years of experience, and has developed a knowledge of the technical aspects of building design and documentation.  In addition to being capable of developing technical drawings, this individual will also supervise the work of less experienced staff, mentoring them in the process.  This individual must be comfortable and competent in communicating with clients, operating as the client contact on projects as well as a leader of internal project teams.  The position represents an opportunity to become a team leader through significant project responsibilities.



  • Responsible for technical resolution and coordination of a project

  • Assists in planning and conducting work, and making adaptations and modifications to complete working drawing set(s)

  • Monitors the design process from conceptual phase through construction administration, ensuring the design idea is consistent and well executed

  • Mentors and directs the work of less experienced staff

  • Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives, complex features and possible solutions and independently performs assignments. May devise new approaches to problems encountered

  • Responsible for communication with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary

  • Supervises preparation of technical drawings by other less senior level architects or technicians

  • Ensures that construction detail documentation conforms to quality assurance, quality control and best practice standards

  • Attend on-site visits, field reviews and project meetings. Prepare and coordinate the review of contractor's schedules, submission of shop drawings and samples

  • Performs product research. Consults with manufacturers, evaluates and helps select project related materials, specifications. May be responsible for or assist in writing specifications

  • Participates in review of project costs and budgets, adherence to schedule

  • Participates in team meetings to help resolve project issues, coordination with other disciplines, schedule adherence, technical issues

  • Regularly communicates with client representatives with minimal direction to verify design requirements and specifications, progress reviews and delivery of final presentation

  • Meets with municipal building department and other governing agency officials to coordinate approvals

  • Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Leadership Team

  • Prepares meeting minutes of consultant coordination meetings

  • Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects

  • Sets up project team software parameters and manages standards

  • May participate in business development meetings with team leaders to target specified project, client or market opportunities

  • May perform as Team Leader on certain projects

  • May prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings and builds models for client/project team review

  • Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices



  • Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness

  • Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems

  • Advanced knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines

  • Advanced knowledge of building codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate into technical documents

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD

  • Proficiency in Revit

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and InDesign graphic software preferred

  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to work in team environment

  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines



  • Travel may be required

  • Overtime may be required
