This is a unique opportunity to work for a fast-growing firm designing, building and supporting nonprofit brands. Reporting to the Director of Interior Design and Branded Environments, the Interior Designer will join the Manhattan based Interiors Department.  You will be working with a team of energetic, progressive, and highly performing professionals who work within a framework and culture of strong virtual and face-to-face teamwork and collaboration.    

Job Summary:

We are looking for a multi-tasker who is resourceful, imaginative & talented and will become an integral part of our team.  The Interior Designer will primarily focus on preparing client presentations, sourcing innovative new products, FF&E selections, drafting specialty millwork and preparing SD & DD documents with potential for growth. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare space planning, and schematic design schemes based upon direction and collaboration with the team
  • Assisting Project Manager of Interior Design
  • Coordinate & prepare FF&E specifications and schedules
  • Draft complete SD & DD drawing packages
  • Execute design development presentations for client meetings
  • Prepare construction documentation; including drawings, schedules, specifications, and custom details
  • Correspond with vendors regarding feasibility of interiors finishes and FF&E
  • Work with project consultants, product representatives, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Professional Degree in Architecture or Interior Design from accredited program 
  • 2-3 years’ experience in commercial Interior Design (hospitality, educational or healthcare is preferred)
  • Strong conceptual and design skills
  • Proficiency/Knowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch up, MS Office & Adobe Suite
  • Ability to work remotely, time manage projects and to be self-motivating 
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Willing to travel, 10% 

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience with a hiring salary range of $60,000 to $70,000
