NELSON is currently seeking a mid-level Technical Designer to work in our Seattle, WA office. The Technical Designer will be responsible for developing, organizing, and executing the development of construction documents utilizing creativity, foresight, and judgement to meet project requirements and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare concept, schematic design, design development, and construction documents
  • Provide material, product, and system research and compile project data
  • Support the Project Manager in establishing project goals and objectives including workplan, schedule, and budget parameters.
  • Lead, facilitate, and manage the overall design process
  • Lead the construction administration phase responding to RFI’s, CO’s, reviewing shop drawings, and field site reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Architecture from an accredited university and 7+ years of experience in the field of architecture
  • Experience working on corporate and commercial interiors projects
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Knowledge of the construction process from bidding through construction administration
  • Knowledge of building regulations, life safety codes, and ADA requirements.
