Electric Bowery is looking for an Administrative / Office Assistant to provide general office administration services for our Architecture & Interior Design Studio. This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to learn in a growing office environment. The job will require an energetic approach to overseeing the general office organization, team events, client outreach, and general assistance to the Principals, including their travel and schedules. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee general office organization (including sample library & maintaining conference room)
  • Sit in on meetings to take meeting minutes
  • Assist project team with preparing meeting agendas
  • Answer phone calls, run errands, and sort incoming and outgoing mail
  • Coordinate lunches & breakfasts as required
  • Update sample library
  • Assist project team with various tasks, including printing, preparation for meetings, etc.
  • Answer doorbell, greet guests, provide them with water & coffee
  • Maintain office supply stock
  • Assist Principal with personal needs as necessary, including travel & schedule
  • Coordinate with PR firm
  • Organize photography of projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience in a fast-paced office, preferably a design firm
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in the MS suite of tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to take direction and initiative with minimal supervision
  • Motivated and cooperative problem solver with a strong work ethic 
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Other Details

  • Part time position, 20 hours a week, paid hourly
  • Some night and weekend hours may be required
  • A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license is required
