  • experienced (8+ years) in all aspects of the design process including idea development, concept design, Furniture and Finish selection and maintaining good vendor relationships
  • a graduate from an Interior Design or Architecture program.
  • experienced in hospitality design
  • capable of managing team on multiple projects at once, flexible to re-direct and creative when problem-solving
  • diligent when monitoring junior staff’s progress on drawings (able to redline) and specifications at every stage of the project development 
  • outgoing and an excellent communicative leader, (written/verbal skills) with the ability to build strong rapport with all employees, clients, purchasing agents and vendors
  • articulate about design concepts and research leading to the particular color schemes, furniture and material selections
  • capable of creating interesting and captivating material boards and presentations for clients.
  • comfortable in setting up preliminary FF&E budget
  • excellent at selecting and sourcing architectural finishes, art work, furniture, upholstery, rugs, carpets and accessories from initial selection to final specification.
  • skilled in detailed specification writing (SPEXX or similar software)
  • eager to design and draw custom furniture, carpets, fabrics, wall coverings, decorative lighting when necessary
  • highly organized, self-motivated with a great attitude 
  • enjoy taking control of overall quality of FF&E specifications and drawings
