Position Description: Position entails helping senior-level engineers design and consultant on building technology systems including audiovisual, security and telecommunications. The ideal candidate has Revit and AutoCAD skills, as much of the position entails documenting system designs in either of these two programs. We can offer training in these programs for the right candidate.  The candidate ideally should have a basic understanding electronic system design and/or architecture.

Prerequisite: Candidate should have a minimum two-year degree, in a technical or digital media (broadcast, recording arts) focus. The candidate must have both good oral and written communication skills and be able to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines.

Salter. was founded in 1975. With offices in San Francisco and San Jose, we are involved in over 900 projects per year worldwide. This position is full-time, has full benefits, and has a competitive salary. The candidate will be in the San Francisco office. Non-local applicants may be considered under ideal circumstances.

As a member of our technology team you will help design and consult on building technology systems including audiovisual, security and telecommunications

Ideal candidates will meet the following technical requirements:

  • Technical degree or certificate in Revit or CAD
  • Four-year degree is a plus
  • Strong skills in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of Navisworks is a plus
  • Knowledge of BIM 360 Glue is a plus
  • Knowledge of audiovisual, telecommunications and/or security systems is a plus.
  • Have good listening skills and strong follow-through
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Be a strong problem solver and independent thinker
  • Have the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment

  • Assist in preparation and organization of construction documents
  • Use 3d software to identify and document low-voltage infrastructure pathways.
  • Assist in developing technical standards
  • Resolve technical/ design issues to maintain progress and quality control

  • The knowledge to design audiovisual, telecommunications and security systems.
  • The ability to manage various projects simultaneously
