Position Overview

The Project Manager / Senior Job Captain is responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and managing the project from Schematic Design, Construction Documents, and through the Construction Administration phases of a project, while working directly with the Department Supervisor.  This individual will coordinate the project with studio personnel, outside consultants and the Client to ensure the project runs smoothly and efficiently, and to ensure the flow of information is seamless and cohesive.

He/she must have a thorough working knowledge of Industry Standards as they relate to Project Documentation for client, city, and or other approvals. This position requires a working knowledge, and experience in Revit.

He/she will support the Department Supervisor in order to develop and maintain a successful working environment.


  • Manage project team, including sub-consultants and client representative
  • Successfully manage project work within the Design Development and Construction Document phases for multifamily and mixed use projects utilizing Revit
  • Reports to and works directly with the Project Architect
  • Review all work and follow guidelines in relation to budget, scheduling and quality control
  • Work closely with in-house staff, coordinating with the design & interiors studio
  • Maintains quality assurance/control for all work produced
  • Improve and assist in maintaining department manuals
  • Successfully developing and expanding on current relationships with staff, consultants, contractors and city agencies, as well as new clients


  • BA/BS Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • Must possess knowledge of construction types, building codes, and ADA accessibility
  • Experience in various markets to include, Los Angeles , San Diego and Orange Counties
  • Experience in Multi-Family Mixed-Use projects in Type III, Type V &  Type I construction
  • 10+ years of experience, preferably in project responsibility; Licensed Architect and LEED AP preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills, and organizational skills
  • Established approach to decision-making and problem-solving, has a highly developed sense of urgency
  • Proven experience with AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp, minimum 5 years Revit proficiency in a team environment. BlueBeam experience a plus
  • Ability to direct and guide team members on organization of drawings, files, etc.
  • Ability to apply standards to drafting and documentation
