ILA is seeking a BIM Manager (Revit Specialist) to join our New York City office. This position requires experience working on large-scale and complex projects. Experience with NYC residential projects is a plus. This position will be responsible for refining and updating office templates, families and libraries; providing active and direct assistance to Revit project teams; and developing processes and ongoing training to individuals and groups. The candidate should have 5 years or more of professional architectural and BIM (Revit) management experience, and will be expected to have direct communication with architectural teams, including training and coordination meetings as well as best practice implementation.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Excellent Revit skills (AutoCAD and Sketchup a plus)

  • Experience with multiple BIM/CAD roles: training and support mentor, project team member, and strategic leader

  • Maintenance of office wide Revit assets including libraries and templates
  • Management, review, and audit of existing ongoing Revit projects at regular intervals for compliance with office standards, level of development, and proper modeling/documentation practices
  • Project and office REVIT troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Mentorship and education of office staff on the latest techniques in REVIT
  • Provide training for junior staff
  • Work with management to improve and keep current office standards

 

 Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture or related field

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM (Revit) project management

  • Evidence of work on large projects over this time period

 

Required Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in production and utilization of 3D design, documentation and creative Revit development techniques

  • Strong skills in management, planning, organization, and communication within the architectural field

  • BIM experience in large-scale NYC residential projects is a big plus.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Contribute to the documentation, dissemination and monitoring of standards, best practices and industry advancements

  • Contribute to the maintenance and upgrade of templates and libraries
