Coppel Design are looking for a creative full-time junior interior designer to join our young and vibrant Los Angeles studio. The ideal candidate is a hard working and enthusiastic person looking for an exciting opportunity within a small, design-focused team.  The Junior Designer will work closely with the Principal and creative design directors, our clients and a team of specialist manufacturers.

 

We work exclusively on high-end residential and commercial projects worldwide.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • With oversight from the Principal, provide timely and proficient assistance in all phases of projects
  • Work with design team to provide presentation materials for multiple interior design projects
  • Support Principal in developing interior design documentation packages
  • Research and source architectural products, materials, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment and manage resource library
  • Manage vendors, owners, and contractor through procurement process
  • Handle administrative project tasks as they relate to design jobs including  contract administration, some elements of job site management and oversight of installations

 

Experience & Skills Required:

  • 1-2+ years of luxury residential or commercial interior design experience
  • A professional degree in Interior Design BFA or Architecture BArch preferred.
  • Strong creative design and drawing skills for working on our bespoke interior design projects, specifically for: millwork, furniture, and interior architectural design
  • Knowledge of high-end showrooms and product lines
  • Ability to work in Excel / In-design to create interior design specifications / schedules
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop and InDesign. Experience with 3D Modeling a plus.
  • Experience on high-end refurbishment work is preferred
  • Should be commercially aware, with the ability to work within budgets and manage tight deadlines
  • Excellent conceptual design and presentation skills
  • Candidate must be able to work on all elements of the job from design to installation
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated

Salary to be discussed depending on experience.
