Theatre Projects Consultants, a world leader in theatre design and planning, seeks a full-time general manager in our Connecticut office.

The general manager (GM) is a key decision-maker and develops, monitors, and evaluates our corporate and financial strategy with the US Board of Directors. Working with a dedicated senior administrative staff, the GM is accountable for the overall operations of the US company.

Position responsibilities include management/oversight of:

  • US day-to-day operations
  • Company finances
  • International and domestic contracts
  • Implementation of strategic business plans
  • Company risk and liability

The GM will also liaise with international partners on shared projects, shared expenses, and financial coordination.

We’re looking for someone who will contribute their own perspective and experience to our expanding business model and become a leader to our passionate staff. Specifically, we’re looking for someone with:

  • A master’s degree in finance, arts administration, or business administration—or equivalent business experience
  • At least ten years of progressively responsible experience for a successful architecture, engineering, or design firm or for an arts organization
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance, marketing, and sales
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a Partnership structure and a Board of Directors
