Position as Architect with an emphasis in commercial and industrial market sectors. This position will collaborate with a multi-disciplined team
of Architects and Engineers and be responsible for the
architectural design for multiple projects of varying sizes that
may be scheduled concurrently. Projects will encompass a range of
facility types within the broad definition of facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Confirms Scope of Work with Project Manager
  • Plan and develop concepts and approaches appropriate to the scope of work of a construction budget.
  • Develop and manage project specific Revit content.
  • Ability to accurately model Architectural systems in existing buildings and new building designs.
  • Coordinates the efforts of Structural (Foundations,
  • Framing), Mechanical (HVAC, Plumbing, Refrigeration, Fire
  • Protection), and Electrical (Power, Lighting, Lightening
  • Protection, Fire Alarm, Security, Low Voltage) for the project.
  • Follows the Project Plan/Informs the Project Manager of project challenges and deviations.
  • Assures overall quality, completeness, and accuracy of
  • Construction Documents.
  • Exposure to Florida Building Code, ICC codes, jurisdictional and underwriter requirements.
  • Attends meetings with Owner as required by Project Manager.
  • Coordinates agency reviews/plan check/Fire Marshall/Commissions/etc.
  • Inspire collaboration amongst multi-disciplined team members.
  • Serve as a mentor for less experienced Architects and assist in developing Architectural personnel.
  • Produce clear, well-coordinated construction documents including plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, and specifications.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas using a variety of media.
  • Desire to work as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • High level competency in the use of REVIT with a minimum of 3 years production level experience.
  • Knowledge to provide construction administration, including site visits and meetings, compliance to the design documents, submittals review, and resolving issues arising from the construction process.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to travel.

Education and License Requirements:

  • Registered Architect (or Architectural Graduate with registration attainable within 1 yr.)
  • Commercial experience required, industrial experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Architecture.
  • Professional expertise demonstrated through 5 to 10 years of progressive experience working with various project types.
  • Industrial typology projects is a plus.
