We are a small firm that specializes in leveraging our process and design values for a wide variety of scales. Our work varies from small remodels to larger developments and long term execution of master plans. We value our longstanding relationships with our clients and contractors. It is important to our process that we approach both of those relationships from the perspective of collaboration. We believe good communication and collaboration leads to better built buildings and more fulfilling work for all of us. Our office is focussed, efficient and highly productive but we also frequently enjoy  quick-witted, good natured exchanges. Being a small group, we rely on each other for project support, design and construction questions.

Job description

We are looking for someone who will enthusiastically join our office and participate in our process while also bringing their own unique perspective and energy to the office. You should have a passion for construction as a vehicle for manifesting a design idea. You will need be able to research materials and solve technical detailing challenges. You will be asked to understand and develop design diagrams in addition to craft the details that support the design direction. Your skills will help compile a thorough and complete set of construction documents. In addition, we all take on additional roles in the office besides the facilitation of projects, it is important that the new hire be willing to help get ready for meetings, take on office management tasks and be willing to have a collaborative attitude.     

Base Qualifications

-Strong Construction Document Design and Development Experience and Interest

-Proficiency in Autocad and Revit, familiarity in the Adobe Suite and Sketchup

-Experience working on both commercial and residential projects

-Familiarity with local Codes

-Willingness to take on office management tasks

-Must be comfortable working collaboratively with consultants and contractors

-Be willing to work on presentation packages to construction documents

-Have an interest in solving problems and working through design challenges occasionally under short deadlines.

-Have a professional architecture degree or higher with 5+ years of experience

-Have a strong design sensibility

-Must be able to communicate clearly and be willing to engage with co-workers

-Must be self motivated and be willing to work independently as needed
