Hinge Studio is looking for a smart, enthusiastic associate/architect to join us in developing this unique small practice. Hinge is a team, and a family. Hinge specializes in adaptation and reuse. We reuse buildings and materials. We adapt our ways of thinking and doing along with our ways of seeing space. We do a wide variety of small to midsized projects for commercial and residential clients. Every team member has their hands in all aspects of a project from design to research to detailing and construction administration. 

Hinge associates are multi-faceted. They have big ideas AND can focus on the small details. They are visionary AND practical. We need someone excited to push us to do new exciting things, and then to figure out how to get those new things built within the constraints of codes, budgets and schedules. Hinge Studio is a work in progress. We are looking for an associate excited to help us envision and build our future. 

What we need: 
A smart, organized designer/architect capable of taking a project and running with it. 
A minimum of 3 years full time office experience - this is not an entry level position.
A positive, can-do spirit. 
A knowledge of code, and how to put buildings and drawing sets together. 
Autocad, Revit, Sketchup, Adobe Suite experience.
A good listener, communicator, and team player 
Agility - aka the ability to juggle the work of multiple projects simultaneously

It's a bonus if you have: 
project management experiencenew construction experience
commercial TI experience
5 plus years experience
a hearty laugh, or a hidden talent
