Position Summary and Essential Functions

We are seeking a talented architect to support our industrial architectural practice.  This individual will play a key role in all phases of architectural design and facility programing from proposal development through construction administration.  The professional will be a member of our architectural department and his/her responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Participating in all aspects of Architectural Design
  • Programing & Analysis (Pre-Design)
  • Project Development & Documentation (Design)
  • Cost Analysis and Preliminary Budgeting, preparing Cost Estimates for Client and Company use
  • Reading architectural and structural prints
  • Producing hand and computer aided sketches and drafts
  • Producing space planning and programming solutions
  • Preparing Construction Documents, including Drawings and Specifications, and permit sets for Planning and Building Department reviews.
  • Coordinate with engineers and product vendors.
  • Work with junior and senior level staff to review work for intent, quality, and precision.
  • Providing Construction Administration

Required Education, Skills and Experience

  • 5-year Bachelor of Architecture Degree or Master of Architecture Degree
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office suite
  • Familiarity with 3-D computer aided design/drafting programs
  • Strong technical and writing skills
  • Minimum four (4) plus years of relevant experience; industrial experience preferred
  • NCARB certification preferred

Candidates must be open to overnight travel not less than 25% of any given year; often to client facilities and construction sites.
