EMI Architects is searching for an Architectural Project Manager to join our growing firm in Tallahassee, FL.

An Architecture Project Manager is a project leader responsible for managing the firm’s interests during each phase of the project and shall be able to work with limited supervision.  

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Understand and track project goals and objectives, reporting directly to principals.
  2. Meet with clients and client's consultants as required.
  3. Review project design criteria with design team and project consultants.
  4. Manage and review design program / schedules / construction drawings and review with project team.
  5. Generate / maintain project design drawings and documentation, and coordinate with technical support teams.
  6. Evaluate, with principals, project performance at completion of each phase and at project close out.
  7. Drive collaborative relationship with consultants and knowledge resources to ensure that deliverables are coordinated, integrated and support the performance goals of the project.
  8. Contributes to preparation of design documents and leads the detailed development of construction documents during all project phases.
  9. Sets an example for team effort through the spirit of cooperation.


  • Completion of an accredited Architectural degree program and licensed
  • Minimum of 5 years total related professional experience;
  • Previous Experience in K-12, University & Commercial Building types preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building materials, detailing, construction techniques, building systems selection, related engineering principles, sustainability strategies and building codes;
  • Demonstrated practical knowledge in AutoCAD
  • Demonstrated practical knowledge in BIM (Revit)
  • Demonstrated practical knowledge in word processing and spreadsheet programs;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer-service principles and firm’s philosophy as related.
  • Practical knowledge of Specification Writing
  • Construction Administration Experience


Assignments will include programming, space planning, participating in the design process, preparing design presentations to communicate ideas to clients, editing specifications, and producing deliverable drawing sets for floor plans, roof plans, building and wall sections, details and schedules.
