FORM ARCH is a design-oriented architecture and interiors firm located near Union Square in NYC. Our work focuses on high-end and specialty residential projects.  Our design aesthetic is luxurious, understated, and modern with an emphasis on maximizing light and views.  We are a small office and therefore encourage collaboration as well as independent research.  

We have a range of projects primarily in the US.  They range from modern to traditional including new construction as well as renovations of existing structures and city apartments.  Our office provides a full range of services from architectural design through construction management, interior design, custom furniture, and move-in installations.

We are currently seeking to hire a full-time, Project Architect 
 
Responsibilities:

  • Comfortable working as part of a design team as well as independently
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
  • In conjunction with principals, develop program and design intent based on client needs
  • Produce and manage construction sets from Schematic Design through Construction Administration
  • Work with interior department in developing custom furniture and room layouts
  • Research and selection of architectural products, systems, finishes and equipment
  • Work with contractor, consultants, and vendor submissions to meet project objectives
  • Work within project budgets and manage time to stay on schedule
  • Help set and manage client expectations to maintain client satisfaction and foster client relationship
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs 

Qualifications:

  • Architecture degree
  • 3-5 years of experience as an architectural designer, with experience in both new construction and existing renovations of residential projects.
  • Strong understanding for sequence of all design and construction phases
  • Ability to coordinate with local city organizations and community boards 
  • Ability to contribute thoughtful and appropriate design solutions
  • Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp important
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in various stages of development
