DBI Projects is a multidisciplinary firm that specializes in development management, project management, and real estate advisory services.  DBI intends to capitalize on its reputation, expertise and strong team, along with the needs of the market, to grow its business and is seeking to fill a new role of Construction Business Development Manager.  

We value an individual who has the ability and drive to work hard in a team environment, who can work independently, who is highly motivated and who is not afraid to help push the company forward. Applicants should possess approximately 5-10 years of experience working in business development within the real estate, construction or design industries. The Business Development Manager will work directly with the senior leadership and will be responsible for developing and implementing a business development plan which will be supported by key members of the organization.

Other key responsibilities of the position will include:

  • research potential clients and market/marketing opportunities within the public and private sector as well as development of new opportunities
  • create and maintain a client database
  • track and maintain potential business opportunities
  • lead the senior team in setting meetings and engagements with key contacts
  • lead the development and production of RFP responses, including coordination of all relevant team members/consultants
  • assist in the development of proposals including scope, schedule and fee, along with formal contracts
  • produce graphic collateral for proposals and general business use
  • identify and attend key events and industry functions to represent DBI and our business
  • manage brand and website content
  • manage stakeholder communication
  • prepare and present business development report on a bi-weekly basis

Applicants should be enthusiastic about Business Development.  They should have excellent written, verbal communication and graphics skills. The ability to represent the company in meetings, events and industry functions is a must. Additionally, the position requires a high level of proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite at a minimum.  The position is full-time, however there could be flexibility for the right applicant with relevant experience. The position will be based in NYC with travel outside the region being rare. Compensation will vary based on relevant experience.
